From Play to Discovery

Qubelyra is a Michigan-based online store preparing a carefully selected collection of STEM toys, educational games, and hands-on activities for children ages 6–12. We help families explore learning through play, with practical guidance that invites parents to take part.

Our Story

Qubelyra began with a teacher and grandfather’s belief in giving children opportunities to build, explore, ask questions, and test their ideas.

My background in education and technology inspired me to create a store where families can find both engaging activities and ideas for making the most of them. A building challenge can become a conversation about solving problems. A creative project can invite a child to imagine different possibilities.

That is the idea behind Qubelyra: from play to discovery, together.

Guidance for Parents

A simple question can open a new direction in play: “How could we check?” “What else could you try?” or “Can you find another way?”

We are developing a free parent guide for each product we select. Each guide is tailored to the activity and recommended age, with opportunities to practice skills such as:

• Critical thinking: observing, comparing, and explaining choices.

• Problem-solving: identifying a challenge, trying a solution, and reviewing the result.

• Creative thinking: exploring alternatives and developing original ideas.

Our guides also suggest when to offer a hint, when to step back, and how to encourage children without taking over. They keep enjoyment at the center of the experience and offer opportunities to practice, rather than promises of specific learning outcomes.

How We Select Products

Before approving a product for our collection, we review:

• Educational value and age suitability.

• Supplier reliability and product availability.

• Product descriptions, instructions, and warning labels.

• Available U.S. product-safety documentation.

• Price and overall value for families.

When important information is missing, we request additional details or documentation before making a decision.
